Rocky Mountain National Park is, without a doubt, one of my favorite places to visit, all-time. We went there in the spring this year, a month and a half after I moved here and what I saw there was practically enough to fall in love with the mountains. I am still working on trying to swing a camping visit there but no go as of yet. These pictures were snapped from a variety of places in the park, many of them very commonly traveled. I would like to go backcountry hiking at some point but at this time, my woodsman skills are lacking, me thinks. Oh, and just a note: no, these are not post cards although now I begin to see why there are so many featuring Colorado. It really is beautiful up there and imagine: if it looks this good in pictures snapped with a stupid VGA-resolution cheap digital camera from walmart, it is so much better in person. The first time I went, it almost literally took my breath away, the views are just that out of the ordinary of what I have been used to. Living in a city all of your life, and even spending some time in the boonies will do NOTHING to prepare you for the views at RoMo.
