Home Building 04-05

We had our pre-drywall meeting today with Bryan, the construction superintendant on the project. All in all, things went very well indeed. A missing light which will be installed, some dismay at the skelaton boxes being used for the structural wiring rather than full body mounting boxes, a half wall that needs secured, a few studs to be replaced, and thats it.

From what I understand, thats getting off easy with near-perfect construction.

As you can see, the construction is progressing well. In addition to the particular meeting items, Bryan and I looked around at the yard itself, the property lines, the utility easement, where the retaining wall will go, as well as the mountings for the electric and gas. Lauren and I are getting excited, our neighbors have moved in at this point so we are anxious to get moved in too.
